Games & Sports

For abundant fun and games, look no further than the Inn's back lawn.

Lawn Games

Enjoy timeless fun with games and activities around our magnificent back lawn and beyond. Our shuffleboard courts are a classic diversion and a great way for couples or different generations to engage. The view is beautiful, the sea breezes refreshing and the soft summer sounds hypnotic. We also have a bocce court, cornhole, beanbag toss, footballs and frisbees for you to enjoy.

Whether you are an avid player or a beginner seeking an alternative workout, squash is an exhilarating game. Two championship squash courts are available to Inn guests at the nearby Ocean House in Watch Hill. Click here for more information.

Croquet is a classic summer lawn game played in back yards across the land. But at the Ocean House, it is played in the highest style on a stunning formal court with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Pull on your whites and step back in time to enjoy a game or take a lesson with the on-site professional – no experience required. The championship court at the Ocean House is just a short drive away in Watch Hill. Click here to learn more.

Inn guests may take advantage of private instruction during their stay.

Inn staff can make private golf arrangements for you at one of our local courses. One of our favorite courses, Lake of Isles, is set in the beautiful forests of North Stonington, Connecticut. Designed by acclaimed golf architect Rees Jones around a 90-acre lake, this golf course features a winning mix of challenge and scenery, and provides an exciting round for golfers at all levels. Guests have access to an 18-hole private course, an 18-hole resort course and the elegant 50,000-square-foot clubhouse. The 18-hole South Course features 7,359 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.

Is tennis part of your ideal vacation? The Inn maintains a membership just down the road at Pond View Racquet Club. You’ll have access to year-round tennis with four Har-Tru outdoor courts and three hard indoor courts. Inn guests may take advantage of private instruction during their stay and can usually find games and partners in this vibrant tennis community.
